This blog has been designed specifically to show you a little bit about who I am. I am an artist and enjoy aesthetics that have to do with nostalgia and deep sentimental value, usually with vintage sentimental items.I am thrifty and am keen to the idea of getting use of something myself that has brought someone else joy and happiness. I also love a bit of mystery and intrigue, the unknown of the darkness and what could be coming next. Sometimes its exciting to be afraid of what you don't now but it always feel so good to come back to the comfort of familiarity. A place where we know we are safe , love and cared for.
The most important thing in my life (at risk of sounding selfish) is myself. Yes, i love my family and my husband. Yes, I care about the world and whats happening on it ; the joys and the detriments. First and foremost though the most important thing to me is making my life count. To take in as many experiences as possible and to be able to learn and grow from them. In doing this I can become more in-tune with myself and better connect with the world around me. If i don't know who I am how can I make a connection with someone or something else. How can I relate, serve, enjoy, respond etc if I have know idea who I am and what I am about first. I am into many forms of self expression ie: writing, drawing, painting, fashion, an music. I try to make any task an expression of myself. Even if that just means doing the best job I can do to reflect the exact nature of my being, and to better understand who I truly am.
I have started a little late for my taste but there is no wrong time to get an education. I love to learn. I wanted to come back to school not only because I missed the structure and assignments but the opportunity to become a better me. I don't want to be ignorant. I want to be involved with the world around me. I want to understand and to connect. I want to be a well rounded human being and be progressive and be a positive contributing force to my environment, wherever that may be. I'm starving for knowledge and want to make the most of this beautiful opportunity of educating myself. I can't imagine life without learning.
In this class I am hoping to achieve better ways to understand text. I often search for deeper meaning in the written word weather it be conscious or unconsciously put there. There is usually more than what meets the eye and to be able to fully grasp those things would be a great asset to acquire. I also want to be able to be a better speaker and communicator, so I can intelligently articulate my thoughts and feelings. I believe communication is key so many aspects of life. To understand and to be understood.
Since I value my self and the advancement of my skills and capability, college comes into play with full force. Education is everything. I cannot and should not progress with out educating myself in all aspects of life. Not only does college open so many doors as far as academic progression, but it also supplies new and exciting ways to connect, and better know my fellow human beings. I would like to take in as much as possible and learn from every experience to make sure I use this experience to my full advantage. I look so very forward to my time here and being able to use take the knowledge I gain here and be able to apply it to my everyday living for the rest of my life.
